Overview
SMEDA has issued a revised call for grant applications under 1000 Industrial Stitching Units (Phase-II). The matching grant supports SMEs establishing industrial stitching units as part of the initiative described as “Powering Urban Pakistan Through Export-Led Growth.”
Eligibility Criteria for SMEs
- Existing exporter: Already involved in textile exports.
- Potential exporter: Intends or plans to expand its existing business into exports.
- Startup: A new business aiming to export textiles.
- Export-linked SME: An SME indirectly engaged in textile exports, either working jointly with an exporter or holding export orders from larger exporters.
Important Grant Details
The matching grant ratio is 60:40, comprising 60% Government and 40% SME contributions. The maximum grant is PKR 5.0 million or 60% of the cost of machines, whichever is lower, irrespective of the types and number of machines. Funding covers machinery costs only, and applicants may choose multiple machines.
